I purchased this laptop a little over a week ago and I love it! It's light in weight compared to the old Compaq Presario laptop I have. I did upgrade to 3GB RAM (maximum 4GB) to help Vista run faster. It's burns pics to CD's with no problem. Has alot of features of a desktop computer. I haven't tried playing a movie yet. Speakers are a little tinny-sounding. No surprise there, so I just purchased inexpensive external speakers and that helped. It comes with Vista Home Basic as the OS. The Windows Picture Gallery is very basic so I downloaded Yahoo's Picasa which is fun to play with and organize/fix favorite photos. The webcam feature is fun to play with as well. I downloaded Skype and chatted with a friend in Virginia. I've read reviews about this laptop on other sites regarding the battery life only lasting between 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Not an issue for me since I have convenient wall outlets in my favorite comfy spots. The AC adapter gets a little warm but that's all. I'm only on the laptop 2 to 2 1/2 hours tops anyway. I'm too old-school for the touch pad so I disabled it and use a USB mouse. By the way, did I mention there's 4 convenient USB ports? If you're looking for an inexpensive laptop to surf, email or organize your pics, you can't go wrong with this one. I wouldn't recommend this laptop for computer games though, but I would recommend it to a friend. Hope my review helps
